If I were Swiss...

Read the smallprint
I've been getting a lot of spam recently about buying stocks and shares etc. It does, however, always pay to read the smallprint:

You can lose all your money by investing in this stock. We have received one hundred thousand free shares from a third party... we intend to sell all these shares now, which could cause the stock to go down, resulting in losses for you. They make it sound so tempting, don't they?

Food for thought 001
First in a new series on phil.com of copy taken from food packaging.

Today, it's Loyd Grossman® and his Tomato & Basil Soup (a lively tomato and basil soup, with shallot puree and paprika.)

"The great thing about Tomato and Basil soup is its simplicity. But whilst it may seem difficult to get wrong, many do. The secret is the ingredients - because there's so very little to it, they have to be the very best."

Thanks, Loyd. Good points there. David, it's over to you...

While I remember...
A granny in Tesco today, pushing 80. Two haddock fillets, a bottle of sherry, a jar of marmalade and some dried nutmeg. Bless.
